1/4/18: Happy New Year! Jinxy is hopeful that 2018 is the year she finds her forever family. She has been getting the hang of our new routine as much changed when I switched careers with drastic changes (such as my amount of hours worked, she can no longer come to work with me, etc). She would be over the moon happy to be with an adult family where she can get their undivided attention and go running with them a couple times a week, then come home and snuggle on the couch.

Of course, Jinxy loves to please, so we are working with her to overcome even more hurdles, such as not acting out of control when meeting new dogs; she does best with a slow and controlled environment with time. Jinxy has some separation/isolation issues but does well with structure and a solid routine. She also does best in a small area versus a kennel.

Jinxy has been exposed to children and enjoys them when they respect her and her space. She doesn’t seem to fully understand kids so an adult home would best suit her, or one with older children.

Jinxy knows and enjoys her routine we have now. Once she is settled into an environment, you hardly know she is there. She snuggles up into her bed and is a happy peaceful pup. If allowed, she would choose your lap or the couch over her bed and ensure that you are kept warm and safe. Jinxy is so easy to love!

5/8/17: Jinxy's update is well overdue. She has settled into our family so wonderfully. Jinxy enjoys being with us, whether it's playing and goofing around or relaxing in the sun. She has done well with crate training the past couple of months and has very, very few accidents in her crate and none in the house. She comes to work with me during the day and this has seemed to help tremendously so I can make sure to get her out to potty.

Jinxy enjoys training and flourishes with positive training methods. She has done great with our dogs too and is learning to be calm when meeting other dogs. Jinxy is also great with kids. She is a fantastic dog!

2/23/17: Jinxy has certainly settled into our home and hearts. She is a very affectionate girl who wants to please (and gets easily distracted). We have been working on "dog to dog" behaviors and she is learning to throttle back some when playing with our dogs.

Since she gets distracted easily, she can sometimes forget to do both 1 and 2 potty when she is outside. If we monitor her though and remind her by going out with her, taking away distractions, and telling her to go potty, then she does great and can be allowed free roam of the house (when we are home).

Jinxy is working on crate training and has a little anxiety. She knows sit and stay, lay down, and more soon! She has also been around kids, ages 4 and 6, and been great.  She seems to have a prey drive with cats so not recommended to be around cats. She has tolerated being switched to Zignatures dog food. Her skin is still very sensitive, for example, to the cold, irritates easier from scratches, etc.

Jinxy LOVES playing with the jolly ball. She is quick, driven, and has a great vertical jump; she is a wonderful candidate for agility. She sometimes skips an entire set of seven stairs (!) at our house when she is running her "hot laps"...She is such a hoot.

12/18/16: Jinxy has been with us for a couple of days. She seems to be kennel trained and potty trained, so far. She requires slow intros to dogs, as she can sometimes be intense on leash- we are working on it though and have very high hopes she can learn to control herself.

Jinxy loves to play and is a great cuddler when she is tired. She is only about 40lbs too, so great size to share the couch with!

Currently, Jinxy is on special dog food (ZD) for her sensitive stomach and skin.
